cat teeth to be removed

Hi,

I went to the vet last week and she told me that my cat may need to
have two teeth removed. I look at the teeth and they seem white but  her gum
around those teeth is red. Is it normal to have teeth removed for such a
little problem? Is there vets who specialise as dentists for animals? The
teeth to be removed are small teeth on the side.

          Thanks,

                Richard

The "little" problem can turn into a HUGE ,possible life threating
problem.Infections from the teeth could get in the blood stream. We do
teeth cleaning at the hosp. I work at. All animals have to put to sleep
to have their cleaned,so most likely your cat will have to stay the
night. (they do at our place anyway, dogs go home the same day)
