My 6 year old cat who is being treated for pancreatitis now has a rash
on his forehead, and fur/skin is coming off in little tufts from his
cheeks. I have not seen him scratching at all, just washing his face
with his paw which is pulling the hair out and he now has a raw area
on one cheek and the start of it on the other.
Meds he is on - Torbutrol since Feb 1
Flagyl since March 11
and he was given wheat bran in his food for 6 days until I noticed
this rash starting on his forehead. I was applying Animax to the
effected areas but now am just putting in on the non-open areas on the
forehead.
Any help?

...........I'd guess the wheat germ. Have you asked your vet if he's ever
seen a similar reaction to the two drugs? I couldn't find anything on the
web that was similar for side effects. I'd just knock off the wheat germ
and see if it resolves.
