Whaaa I broke a nail!

Don't know if its an issue or not. Thought I'd see what people here have to
say. Noticed on my nearly 2 year old lab, that one of his dew claws has a
longitudinal crack in it extending a fair ways up the nail. It doesn't seem
to bother him in the slightest.

I haven't noticed him licking at it or anything, and he doesn't seem overly
sensitive about it.
Only reason I even noticed was that he got a blade of grass wedged in it.

Would you be concerned about it?

Not too concerned, but I would put a 'clean cut' on it to prevent further
splitting.

I thought about that, but its split pretty far back, and I worry about
cutting the quick.

I agree, keep an eye on it. Can't really put much on it because then
your dog WILL lick it. it should grow out normally =)
