Slow pee rate...

I've noticed recently (past few months), that my one dog pees a *lot* slower
than my other dog.

The old guy tends to pee and be done in about 1/4 the time it takes the
young guy to empty his bladder.

They both start actually peeing at the same time, but the young guy's 'flow
rate' doesn't seem to be anything like as high as the old guy's.

He doesn't seem to be in pain or anything like that, and the urine seems to
be fairly clear (ranging in colour from clear to fairly yellow, but not at
all cloudy), it just seems to take him a while to get it all out.

If I'm home, and downstairs, and asks to go out with a relatively high
frequency (~1/hour), but if I'm not there, he can hold it for as long as it
takes. He always pees and comes right back in.

Any ideas? Do you think this is something I should worry about (I know I'm a
bit of a hypochondriac when it comes to my dogs).

.....Is the young dog neutered?  Either way, I suppose it could be a
prostate problem.  If you're concerned about it maybe take in a fresh urine
sample and get a vet check.  You'd think it would be the old guy with the
problems!  ;-)

Yep he's been neutered since ~6 months old (about 1 1/2 years)...

I'll probably just keep an eye on it for the next while and see how it
progresses (strangely today, after a few months of him taking forever to
pee, he seems to be beating the old guy back to the house... Funny how
they'll make a liar out of you.) It doesn't seem to be bothering him at all
though in any case (although I do get the occaisional look that I swear is
boredom from him while he's peeing).
