I caught a feral kitten this evening, about 2-3lbs.  Photo at:

shows broken/knocked out tooth, caused when he tried to tear my arm
off.

Can anyone tell me if it's a baby tooth or an adult tooth?  Will his
adult tooth grow in normally?

Thanks,

John Kimmel

Since I can't see other teeth I can't say for sure, but I'd guess it's a
baby tooth.  I don't see how you could knock an adult canine out without
significant trauma (i.e. hit by car or flung into a wall while you were
trying to dislodge him ;-)).  A lot of baby canine teeth are pretty
fragile -- I see puppies all the time who've broken theirs off.  Never seems
to cause a problem.
