About a week ago (actually exactly a week ago), Erwin managed to steal half
a plate of butter tarts (containing raisins) off of the dining room table.
Anyways, he's been fine for the past week, so I'd more or less forgotten
about it.

Anyways yesterday, he injured his shoulder playing in the park. The vet has
prescribed Meloxicam. Anyways, the other thread about the kitten whose
kidneys have gone sour got me wondering. I know raisins effect the kidneys
(can anyone tell me how?). I know meloxicam reduces blood flow to the
kidneys.

Should what ever effect the raisins were going to have (if any) essentially
be out of his system by now? Am I being overly paranoid?

Erwin's regular vet is now closed until Monday. Thoughts?

Just got off the phone with a friend of mine, (who is a vet). I don't like
to bug him about vet stuff, as I kind of feel like I'm taking advantage of
the friendship, but I figured in this case I would.

Anyways, he put my mind at ease. I shouldn't be extra concerned because of
the raisin thing. If they were going to do their thing they likely would
have already done it.
