We have had two muscovy ducks die in the past few weeks and another has
come down sick today.  One day they appear perfectly healthy, the next
they sit listlessly, and that night or the next day are dead.  Their
weight is plump and normal and there are no signs of trauma.  We do not
have any poisons out in the barn and are not near any neighbors and we
don't believe age is a factor. It has been very wet here in the past
few months and they are actively rooting in the soil as are our other
breeds of ducks.  There have been no other illnesses in other ducks. No
sign of respiratory condition and our barn is very clean.  We will
autopsy Hazel if she passes tonight but I would appreciate any ideas
that someone might have based on their knowledge and experience. Thank
you for your time.  Jim & Faye

Could be botulism poisoning, or a fungi from the rain.
