Anti-Freeze Kills Two Pets In St. Charles, MI
April 20, 2007 11:55 AM EDT
(TV-5) -- A St. Charles teenager is accused of killing a pet cat and
dog by feeding them anti-freeze. Seventeen-year-old Brandi Charvat is
being charged with two counts of torturing and killing an animal.
Charvat is studying to become a veterinary technician and faces up to
four years in prison. Police say the pets were given the fatal doses
after her 60-year-old boyfriend's family opposed their relationship.

I suspect miss Brandi Charvat will be needing a body guard for a while.
And I hope her studies in animal care are terminated.

You're right. of course. I reckon we cynics are more excited by having a
good candidate to condemn than by the slap on the wrist she'd receive,
IF even convicted. :-(
Perhaps she is innocent. Either way, I doubt the outcome of her trial
will get as much attention as the accusation against her.
