I have been unable to find a list of AAVets on the internet.
Please advise. I don't want to use a Dog Transport company because the
are a rip off.
thanks

I don't know what an "AAVet" is?! My practice is in a Washington, DC
suburb and we send a lot of dogs and cats overseas. We do all the
paperwork and facilitate the transport, but I don't know if I'm an
AAVet:-) You don't need a special veterinarian to give vaccines, run
rabies titers (if needed) and fill out paperwork; you just need someone
who knows what they're doing, or they know who to call to help them do
it exactly right. You may need to send some forms to the USDA (assuming
you're in the USA) for endorsement, too.
I have to say we recommend using a pet transport company to send animals
to Australia only. For other countries you can do it yourself with help
from an experienced DVM.
