I've been looking after a Chihuahua for a breeder. She is 3 years old and
has had 3 litters, one of them by Caesarian Section. She had a tough time
during the last pregnancy being sick many days and having diarrhea. She had
3 puppies, one of the puppies died as it was a breech delivery and they
couldn't revive it. Now, the breeder is going to breed her again at her
next heat. I have no experience in this area and want to know if this is
usual? I expressed concern and the breeder told me that if I didn't want
her to be bred again I could give her $500.00, have her spayed and she would
be mine. I'm considering this and I'm only hesitating because although this
is generally a likeable dog she does tend to go after visitors and tries to
bite them. Any comments?

Any comments?
.......oh yeah, but none of them are publishable............may the breeder
(sic) spend the rest of her life in the 7th level of H E double hockey
sticks.

Couple of comments
1. It sounds like she was bred back every heat cycle. I've always thought
this was probably a bad thing, but Google seems to disagree.
2. Having a litter by C-Section isn't necessarily a bad thing. I know some
breeders that think C-Sections are the way to go in their breed. Don't know
any Chihuahua breeders though
Things that do seem rather bad to me --- Sounds like she was bred really
young. Probably too young. Sounds like she wasn't doing well in her last
pregnancy, she should probably be rested for a while before she's bred
again. I'd also be rather concerned about a breeder who would react the way
she did to your concerns (i.e. give me money, and I won't do it). She should
be explaining to you why she's doing what she's doing. Also, it doesn't
sound like this dog is particularly well tempered. I wouldn't want a dog
that attacked visitors (even if it is a little dog).
I think if you take this dog, you're probably in for a lot of work, and
potentially health problems (doesn't seem like a very good breeder, who
knows what health problems you're in for... she certainly hasn't been
screened for any of them).
