Hi,

I noticed that my cat (6yr old spayed female) had something in her fur,
i thought it was just clumping, but on closer examination it was a
translucent grey oval "pod" about 1/4" long and 1/8" wide; it was
attached, there is a small sore there on her skin.  I cut the pod off at
the base where it connected; the cat didn't even notice.  I thought it
might be a spider egg sac or something so I squeezed it and black guck
came out.

Any ideas ?

Thanks

Pat

hmm, okay, first time I've ever seen one... well half of it's gone now;
I'll just keep an eye on it for a week or two, hopefully the rest will
come out

thanks

You need to get the mouth portion out.

........nope, no way to do that now.  The body will toss it out eventually.
