I am considering adopting an 18 year old cat who's in renal failure and
is eating N/F food (as well as taking meds and getting subcutaneous
fluids). I have some younger healthy cats (the oldest being 7 and the
youngest being around 4) and I'm writing to ask what will happen if the
young healthy cats eat the old cat's kidney diet food? I'm less worried
about the 18 year old eating the younger cat's food, because I'll be
glad if she will eat anything at all, and I would like her last months
or days to be as happy as possible, even if it means eating food she
shouldn't eat. I don't see how I will keep them out of each other's
food without locking the old cat in a separate room from the other cats
which would make her lonely and that's not what I want for her. Any
advice?

I have no information about the food (I don't even have cats <achoo>).
Just wanted to say how nice it is for you to consider adopting that cat.
Sounds like a very lucky cat!
