My ten-year-old granddaugher has been assigned the task of reading a
biographical book and writing a book report. She says that she wants
to read a book "either about Evel Knievel or about a famous woman
veterinarian."
We don't have anything against motorcycle daredevils, but nevertheless
we'd like to locate a book about a famous woman veterinarian.
Any ideas?

I hope it's not too late - as I noticed this post was written almost 4
weeks ago! - but I'm sure you could find a book written about Florence
Kimball, thee first woman Veterinarian in the USA... good luck!
