I'd get it checked out. It could be nothing, but it could also be something.
If you don't get it checked, you may worry for nothing, or it could be
something easy to treat (but that does require treatment), or any number of
things. You aren't going to know unless you have someone have a look at it.

Sounds like a possible abscess.
