Hello all pet owners!

My almost 15 year old Beagle is on a small treatment of Metacam for
arthritis. She's doing well now - no problem - but with the heat
coming (32 degreess on the weekend) do you notice your pets are doing
alot more shedding?

It may be a dumb question from a paranoid pet owner - but wondering if
the Metacam would have side effects to cause excessive shedding.

I noticed the inside of her ears have hair loss  (but also notice fine
hairs growing back) - again - not sure if it's something to be alarmed
about or just a cyclical shedding pattern due to summer.

Or just age!

Thanks for any feedback!

I've never heard of this being a side effect.  If you are worried I would
call the vet there may be something else going on here completely not
related to the metcam.
