I have a 4 month old APBT that has been really under the weather for
the last few days I had the vet over yesterday and he told me to give
her amoccillin
I am doing so but she still seems not to be getting any better she
just had a parasite injection and I think this may have something to
do with her very lethargic behavior she is eating a little and I
really try to get her to drink she only takes a little water at a time
but I think she is getting enough?
could she be teething or is it something more serious all she wants is
too sleep already for 4 days now I don’t think she has a fever but her
glands a little swollen her pooh is also normal
what can you tell me please I am worried and our local vet seems to be
a little bit of a cowboy I am a first time dog owner and really want
to do the right thing can you please help me I really want her to be
well again thanks in advance Tim

When things aren't going as planned, I give my vet a call. He either says
to wait, and observe, or bring them back in. All these things should be
addressed to your vet.

Yes, I agree. Proper tests can be run at the Vet's office. If you feel
the least bit unsure about any diagnosis, insist on doing any tests
that may reveal the problem.
I didn't insist on testing until it was too late. Lost a wonderful
dog to antifreeze poisoning. He suffered, too, because of my delaying
testing.

Puppies can go downhill rather quickly. This pup needs to be examined.

Hi Tim, you really should be bringing your doggie to a veterinary
hospital asap ( i hope my post doesn’t come too late). 4 days is a
critical number already - your doggie may become dehydrated very fast
- if you bring it to the vet hosp, they’ll be able to run many kinds
of tests there to diagnose the problem, then only they can treat your
doggie.
don’t wait. send him to a vet hosp asap.
"all she wants is too sleep already for 4 days now " this is a bad
indication - your doggie’s obviously not feeling well.
