Here's the situation:
At the age of 5, my cat (female spayed DSH) was diagnosed with an
extremely quiet murmur by 3 different vets at 2 different clincs
(either Grade 1 or 6, whichever is the low end of the scale). I had
her checked out, sonagram, hematocrit, etc. Every indication came
back negative, and she is otherwise an extremely fit, playful, healthy
cat. At her next two check-ups, the vets, who had heard the murmur
before, didn't hear it. And this last time, it's back, apparently
quite clear. She's going in to have her teeth cleaned, and having
another sonagram done at that time. I'm just curious if anyone has
opinions on what might be causing this, especially with the relatively
late onset and on-again, off-again part.
If it matters, she is in really good shape, and is a very squirmy,
twisty cat when she gets examined. Doesn't like being held, and tries
her best to get away from the vet without being violent or aggressive.

grade 1 is the lowest.
My cat has a murmur that gets much worse when she's stressed out.. When my
hubby brought her in, the vets were VERY concerned.. when I brought her in,
they couldn't hear it.
maybe she was stressed when it was heard and calm when it wasn't.
