My 10yo pitbull has CHF. Was diagnosed several yrs ago. He's been on 50mg
lasix and .125 digoxin in the morning, then another digoxin at night.
He's been panting more and I'm guessing it's the CHF. He's going to the vet
this week. What other med do I expect to add to this treatment?
Would adding Coenzyme Q10 help?
Thx

Thank you, just what I was needing.
Gus is 10 but still acts very young. KWIM? I want to make him as
comfortable as possible.
He's still my little studly dog.

Something else that will help in the summer is to keep him in the air
conditioning especially when the humidity is high.

We don't have humidity here too often but Gus does stay inside. Thanks for
the tip. Never even thought how humidity/heat would affect him. Our
summers are brutal w/temps routinely over 100
I try to keep him from getting into barking contests w/the neighbor dogs too
(we have a doggy door)

Nicole.
Glad I can be of help. The reason I suggested it is my mother has
congestive heart failure and air conditioning makes it so much easier for
her to breath in the summer. In fact the only way could convince her to let
us put in the air for her was because her doctor told her she had to. Now
she thinks it is the greatest thing in the world,
I also have a cat who has a heart murmur and if he's not in the air during
the summer he's sick all the time and throwing up from the heat. Most cats
like the heat but he's happy and content to hang out in the living room with
the air conditioner all day long when it's hot.
