EAR PROBLEM

Good Evening everyone,

I need some advice.  I have an 11 month old chocolate lab and a 16 week old
yellow lab.  Well the chocolate has never had a dirty ear in his life.  The
yellow puppy on the other hand I have been cleaning his ears two to three
times a week and every time I get a great deal of dark brown tar looking
crap out of his ears.  One ear is significantly worse than the other.  I
would greatly appreciate any advice.  Is there a great product out there
that will keep his ears clean?  Or am I going to be cleaning ears daily?
Thanks for any help BILL

It sounds like the puppy might have either an ear infection or ear mites.
You really ought to take him in to your vet and have it checked out.  There
are specific prescription medications to treat either condition.  And if it
turns out that there's nothing wrong except an overly exuberant production
of wax, your vet can show you how to properly clean the ears and tell you
which products will work best to achieve the longest results.

Thanks Deborah,

We went to the Vet tonight he had a slight yeast infection.  He gave us some
medication and said it should clear up.  I have to clean his ears once a
week.  Thanks again for your help BILL
