Picked up the 'rescued' ferrets today , look about 12 weeks old , really boney
, underweight and the way they reacted towards me they have never been handled
No food or water in the pen either
The prevous owners got board with them because they were nasty and bit them ,

I am seeing a lot of sprays out there to help control ferret odor.
Does anybody recommend one over another?

....ferrets want OUT of cage.
Jackie will trash the bottom level of the cage if I don't let her out when
she wants to play. arrrghh!  She really makes a mess of it too.  Very
annoying.

Our little Lexie I think has cancer.  She has this mass under/behind her
left front leg.  That's how Leo was, started out with one, then got all over
his body and he lost a lot of his hair.  Had him checked for Adrenial but it
was negative.  They tried to get liquid from the mass ...

Looks like i might be recueing a couple of young ferrets (about 5 months old

That noise that they make when I scratch them on their backs like a
cross between a purr and a whirr.  Is it a happy noise?

Woke up this morning to find that one of my hamsters had passed on.
I had two female dwarfs (both pet shop rejects), and now only Blinky is
left.  She's a one-eyed Winter White (lost her eye in a pet shop fight)
Is she OK on her own, or should I be looking for another female?

Sometime early this morning the second of our 3 robo brothers left us.  5
days shy of 2 years with us.
It was always tough to get pictures of them, as they'd hide and didnt want
to be seen really.  The only pictures I really have are when they were young

I'd give a shout to all my hamster friends.
Pris is doing well. She's still a bit of a shy
pie but she's quite a character as well.

Just checking in to say hello. All is well here at the Jersey Shore.
Tourist season is coming to an end, thankfully. So now we get our
town back, yea! No more long lines at the supermarket, etc.
Pris is in great health. She's still a little shypie, but a sweetheart

Friday we will be finishing the remodeling of our upstairs. We put in
new rugs, ceiling fans, and have turned the third room into a second
office. Included are, a custom desk, a Murphy bed, and a Compu-trainer
exercise bicycle. What with all the work, and people going up and down ...

I was asked yesterday if I could take in a bunny. He is in need of a loving
home, he does not get on with his bunny family.
He is, I am told, about 5 months old, black & white, lion head loppy, &
unfixed.

So, we have a good vet, and my daughters have sneeze free ratties, the
only thing missing.... My very own rat.
Not anymore.
Well, Sukey is small, white and grey, almost like a capped rat, but

They're 3wks old now and they're mine all mine on the 23rd.

Does anyone else use the cardboard carry-boxes with six compartments for
wine bottles which you can get from supermarkets (in the UK, anyway) for
their rats? Mine love them - they can go in through one of the compartments
and it's all one big box inside, and I can get it in the ...

And this is of Pippa and Tiny a few days after I got Pippa. As you see, they
quickly became good friends.

Alpha, our big PEW Dumbo passed away today. The past couple of days have
been rough. We are pretty sure that he was a Zucker Rat - obese by genetics,
not by choice. The Fellow just could not help himself and he got bigger and
bigger. As of 3 days ago, he was 1 pound, 14.2 ounces.

I was just talking about Sukey earlier this afternoon; and I've just
gone to get her out to play, only to find her dead.  I'd fed them
about two hours ago and she was fine then.  I can' t quite believe
it.  She was only eleven weeks old.
