Tiger Oscar29 Jun 2003 03:22 GMT1
I have a Red Tiger Oscar in a 55gal. tank by him self. He is about 8 inches
long or so. He has white or gray holes in his body like some thing is eating
it away. He got a couple about 6 months or so ago and it looked like
scrapes, I just figured he could have injured himself on the ...
Live fish retailer question   yikes!28 Jun 2003 20:36 GMT2
Has anyone purchased from  aquariumfish.net?     They appear to have some
nice fish, but they have some real wacky ideas on how to test your water
correctly, and the incorrect way to acclimate your new fish.
They said that you do not need water test kits, that they are not correct.
new to aquaria...28 Jun 2003 17:56 GMT1
I just got my first aquarium a few weeks ago. For what it's worth, I started
with a Corydoras and a Betta who, after some initial posturing, settled down
and left the Cory alone.
A question: I'm using a turkey baster to agitate the sediment every once in

tank...   this little fish is a bit more elongated than the mollies, and it
is so small I can't really tell what kind of fins it has, ...

Two mollies standing on tails not swimming at all for two days. Saw one

[Long] A painful and valuable lesson learned...26 Jun 2003 21:31 GMT4
No matter how easy you might think you're making it for your non-fish
keeper roommate to look after your tank while you're gone, it won't work.
This is the lesson I learned tonight as I returned home after only 4 days
gone to a tank with completely green water, dead and dying fish
Raphael Cat sick, breathing very hard26 Jun 2003 01:35 GMT1
My Stripped Raphael catfish started acting wacko today, it came out of its
hiding spot (the cave) and went into a corner and started breathing very
hard. The fish looks all ok except I noticed that his tale fin doesn't seem
to be there. I checked all nitrite and ammonia levels with ...
