Here's what I'm thinking of hosting in my 27G Hex tank. Let me know what you
think both positive/negative.

Fish tank accessories and stuff, It's all a scam to waste our money.31 Oct 2003 22:27 GMT6
Just a question for debate.  I've had my fish for about 2 years now, got
into it after my cousin intro'd me.  Setting up was relatively cheap I
guess, as I already had a tank, and just needed to buy filter, heater,
chemicals, fish.  I wanted to spend the least amt of money possible.

I am setting up a 70 gallon freshwater aquarium (probably for cichlids). Can
anyone recommend a suitable filtration system. The Fluval canister has been
suggested. Any comments on the Fluval would also be appreciated.
Thanks
Pump to a head31 Oct 2003 09:13 GMT4
I am looking for some pumps which will circulate my systems. One system is
about 200 gallons and the other system is about 120 gallons. The head for
both systems is approximately 7' 8". The pumps need to be low wattage (using
a hippo at the moment at 300w ph, ouch) and able to run ...

I have a 20 gallon tank, cycling just fine, no ammonia or nitrItes,
hardness and nitrAte on the high side but not really bad. No real
plants. I have a filter rated for a 20 gallon tank, and change 5
gallons of water every two weeks more or less.

Brown Sludge31 Oct 2003 02:57 GMT1
I recently added some wild caught minnos to cycle a small tank.  I
decorated it with small hand made ceramic sculptures.  The sculptures
are now growing a reddish-brown slime.  I'm assuming this is from the
fish, or is it?  The fish seem pretty interested in the sludge, Im
