HI Frank, I have what I guess are diatoms growing in my 3 month old 75 gal.

have a male Praecox rainbow who has developed a 3mm x 1.5mm raised
(2.5mm high) lump/wheal justbelow his right pectoral fin.
the surface seems to be speckled reddish, just like a graze.
He is acting nornally with two other females.

gotta question for ya..
one of my neons (out of 5) appears to have a whitish lump right at the
base of his top fin and then another one right at the base of his rear fin.
I just noticed the 2nd one today and I noticed the first one yesterday.

  i have outside whisper power filters on my tanks and i am wondering if
anyone knows where i could get "Just" the filter bags? the bags with the carbon
are quite expensive if you buy whisper products so i was wondering if i could
buy the bags only and just put generic carbon in ...

I have read that the Flourite Red creates problems to the water coloring

Well, I had an interesting gift. I have a 120 gal fw tank. My goal is to put
MANY small schooling fish in there. I've been slowing building up the
population.
A friend stopped by while I was out of town and decided to give me a gift.

- I got a huge PVC T for my convict pair in my 30 gal. Two side
entrances and one long top one. I was wondering, does it matter that the
PVC is white?  I've only seen black in tanks.

I have a rosy barb who is acting peculiar.  He's swimming around, with his
head constantly shaking.  And he doesn't seem to be playing with the other
