| Black on my fish? | 20 Sep 2004 22:50 GMT | 6 |
First, I'd like to say that it's nice to have a place for us newbies to ask silly questions and get great answers. Most of my fish have a black coloring down the front of their heads. I wasn't sure if they were like this when I bought them or not (because it wasn't something I was ...

The LFS has a "mystery shrimp" that is similar in build to a ghost shrimp, but it has red spots (Especially on its tail fan), and red bands on its front claws. Any idea what kind it is, and if it would get along with Amano shrimp? Thanks!

| fishless cycling problems | 18 Sep 2004 17:54 GMT | 8 |
I've been fishless cycling two freshwater tanks (10G, 6G) for almost four weeks now. I hadn't seeded either tank, so about two weeks ago or so I put Bio-Spira in both tanks and immediately saw nitrites. Since that time ammonia levels have dropped in both tanks to 0.0. However, ...
