I have a  55  gallon freshwater community tank with a few Danio's, Black
Neon Tetra's, Lemon Tetra's, Cory Cats and one Pleco.  All in all, no more
than 25 fish.  Problem is I had a neon and lemon tetra die after something
caused their mouths to distort.  Now I have just noticed a ...

different fish.
Is there anyway to tell just what fish it is?

pleco question20 Dec 2004 14:22 GMT3
About 6 months ago, when I started my first tank, I got a baby pleco.  I
originally had it in my 10 gallon tank with my platies.  Then I started a 55
gallon tank so I moved him in there.  I hadn't seen him for about 3 months
(since I put him in the larger tank).  Today I did a ...

I have a 15 gallon tank. I remove the fish and  plants. I dose it with
Had-A-Snail. Snails still alive. I does it several more times, eventually
putting in about a dozen doses. I then give up, as there are still snails

Guppy with a disease20 Dec 2004 01:15 GMT3
Can anyone help please . I have a fairly new tank with some guppies in.
These have started to perish after all seemed ok . They have each developed
a light coloured patch on their bodies seemingly under the skin rather than
on it. They are mobile at first but then forward motion ...

new aquarium18 Dec 2004 18:32 GMT8
After years of having cw fish, I've now started a tropical tank. (In
addition to the cw). It's now been planted and running for a week.
Stocking will be done very very gradually but which fish do you recommend to
start it off? I was thinking a couple of platties or guppies?
How to get rid of snails18 Dec 2004 17:54 GMT6
I asked in alt.aquaria, but I'll ask here also in case there are people here
that don't hang out in AQ. I bought some plants and introduced these little
tiny round snails into my tank. Now they are everywhere and they are
destroying my lillies. I setup a new tank, and want to ...
breeding swordtails18 Dec 2004 10:49 GMT4
I've been breeding guppies for a while now and have gotten pretty good at
telling the male fry from the female fry.  But now I'm breeding swordtails
and was wondering how old do the fry have to be before their gender is
distinguisible?  I have a few that are getting pretty big ...
