Being new to tropical fish as a hobby can anyone recommend any good
retailers that are based in Merseyside / Lancashire for the purchase of fish

My LFS has recommended I get a CO2 unit to sort the algae in my tank. But
from reading various postings I'm not sure if this is a good idea or not.
The plants get fairly "manky" coz I get a lot of algae...the tank in
question is in a well lit room...but the fish are happy and I feel ...

I'm looking for a more powerful filtration system for my 55 gal Oscar
tank.  Although I vacuum and do partial water changes every 5 days or
so, I find my current bio-wheel filters to be inadequate.  I did, at one
time, have an UGF in the tank but did not like it.  I could not ...

I've cleaned out the fruit from a coconut and boiled the shell. I plan to
put this in my tank for additional shelter. Before I do has anyone any
experience of doing this. Any feedback most welcome.

Someone gave me an old tank, but the glass is green. How do I remove the
algae. tried the usual 'house hold stuff' but obviously don't want to use
brillo...

I have 1 cichlid that is about 3 inches and has very small gravel in his
mouth!!! Why?
I have removed 1 piece, it was much smaller than his mouth and loose inside,
so he could have easily spat it out himself.

so not feeding or feeding very lightly didn't help, and his scales are
starting to bulge, so I suspect dropsy. his sides are also discolored
directly above his anus I bought some maracyn-2 and will see if that helps.
