My LFS has recommended I get a CO2 unit to sort the algae in my tank. But from reading various postings I'm not sure if this is a good idea or not. The plants get fairly "manky" coz I get a lot of algae...the tank in question is in a well lit room...but the fish are happy and I feel ...

I've cleaned out the fruit from a coconut and boiled the shell. I plan to put this in my tank for additional shelter. Before I do has anyone any experience of doing this. Any feedback most welcome. TIA - Dave

Someone gave me an old tank, but the glass is green. How do I remove the algae. tried the usual 'house hold stuff' but obviously don't want to use brillo... Any suggestions please....

I have 1 cichlid that is about 3 inches and has very small gravel in his mouth!!! Why? I have removed 1 piece, it was much smaller than his mouth and loose inside, so he could have easily spat it out himself.
