Anyone know of a shop down a backstreet in Palmers Green,
Southgate or Winchmore Hill ?

I wonder if anyone can identify this algae for me, so I can get a cure :)
it is on a synthetic log, and also on the glass and the thermostat. it is
green in colour, and looks like green fluff.
looks like very thin well kept grass, covering the 'log'. it may have also
Replacement lighting28 Aug 2005 12:15 GMT2
My lightbar has stopped working, and I can't replace it with the same brand,
as it was an obscure German make.
I need a fixture which will hold 2 900 mm (36 inch) tubes, and which rests
on the tank itself, not fixed to the lid.
Sick Guppy27 Aug 2005 11:49 GMT4
I am a fairly new tropical fish keeper with a 60L heated BiOrb. Looking in
my tank at the moment I see one of my two male guppies is in a really bad
way, he has sunk to the bottom of the tank, his gills are moving and so are
his fins but he's not swimming. There is no sign of any ...
Green Brush Algae??26 Aug 2005 15:39 GMT2
If there is such a thing.
My friend has a large gold fish tank with a very large log.  The log is
covered with a very thick coat of algae.  Thing is, it looks great!  It's
about 1/4" long, and very dense.  The log looks like it's covered in moss,

Giant Gourami info needed25 Aug 2005 15:17 GMT10
I have recently been tempted to buy a giant gourami after seeing a
really nice big white one in the fish shop.  I would like to buy a
baby, but I don't really know much about them (other than some of the
stuff I've read here).  What I want to know is, how fast do they grow?

im setting up a new tank and decided to go with one or two figure

questions here for the more experienced. i dont normally like putting
Discus Diet24 Aug 2005 22:08 GMT1
I've got a small Blue Diamon Discus in my 90 gallon community tank, and
I've having problems finding a food that stays in the mid water level
long enough for he or she to get to it.  I see the fish picking around
the gravel for bits that have hit the bottom, but the cories ...

Clean up crew23 Aug 2005 13:11 GMT8
If I could "pick everyone's brains" for just a moment, I have a question. I
would like to know what fish/invertabrates would make a good "clean up crew"
(eating algae, leftover food particles, waste, etc.) for a 55 gallon tank. I
have the following species:
