The water where i live is very hard. so i started buying water from wal-mart for my tank. I put distilled water in it this week. is tested very soft:)anyone else put store bought water in there tank? thanks

I'm just wondering if it's safe to use an algae remover in a planted tank? I mean after all, algae is a plant too. And yes, today I'm too lazy to go the local pet store and ask them. Some of my plants are even beginning to get algae on them. Guess I should fire my pleco!

I have a 1 gallon tank with a few guppies and a few small apple snails in it. It gets a regular partial water change weekly. The problem is there are some small white thread like worms in the tank. Kind of look like pin worms. Any ideas what they may be?
