Fish Dying27 Sep 2006 04:21 GMT1
Thanks for your advice.  The last batch of fish I purchased I put in a
seperate aquarium from the older fish I have owned for a while.  I took
water from my old aquarium to fill it.  The temperature is fine and I
have given them air and a filter.  I put the new fish in the bag in ...
Pleco size27 Sep 2006 00:08 GMT3
I have a pleco that is about a year or so old, 8 inches long. He wasn't fed
very well for most of his life and is not as big as I think he should be. I
have him in a 50 gallon tank, and can now feed him well. At this age, can I
expect him to grow any more?

Dear listener,
Could you please let me know what I can do with my black bubbleeye

Salt26 Sep 2006 01:55 GMT11
What are people's thoughts on adding salt to a tank of fancy goldfish.
And if yes, is dishwasher salt (Finish) OK? And how much?
Cheers.
salt for golfish25 Sep 2006 10:41 GMT1
Using freshwater aquarium salt, or epsome (mineral salts) would benifit
your golfish in many ways (I wouldn't know about the application of
diswasher salt) salt promotes gill health disease resistance and helps
maintain a higher ph. In my expirience, For my indoor goldfish pond I
Crane Fly Treat25 Sep 2006 05:30 GMT3
I leave me tank top open in the summer and I noticed the fish are
getting regular crane fly treats :-)  They fly in attracted to the
lights and the fish grab them in seconds.
Oh well they seem happy with the extra food.

What's happened to Neon Tetras?22 Sep 2006 19:10 GMT7
It's been quite a few years since I've had an aquarium set up. I've
been planning on a community tank with killies and scavengers. I
thought I would add a few neons for their schooling effect. I've gone
to several stores and all the neons I see are enormous! They are the
55 gallon tank, dealing with power outages21 Sep 2006 22:59 GMT7
I have a 55 gal tank with 3 gouramis, a female betta, two rams and a plec.
We live in Idaho and we don't really have much problem with power outages
other than the occasional one that lasts maybe an hour or so,...but I worry
that a big one might be hard on the fish, or worse, cause ...
Algae eating shrimp21 Sep 2006 17:07 GMT3
I purchased 3 algae eating shrimp for my 20 gallon tank about 2 weeks ago.
I have 10 rosy tetras, 2 small cats and a small Placatomous in the tank who
do not give them any trouble.
The shrimp spend almost the entire day staying behind the heater.  I figure
New angles with old angels21 Sep 2006 05:39 GMT6
I have a pair of Angels, about 18 months old. Beautiful blushing angels,
about 4-5" across. I put them in a new tank (50 gallon tank) yesterday. I
added several small angels today, about an inch across, today. The older
male is chasing the new ones around the tank, nipping at ...
weird rainbow21 Sep 2006 04:34 GMT4
I think one of my red rainbows is in love with my pangasius!
I have three or four red rainbows in a tank with Bozeman , Australian and
blue rainbows. There's also 2 pangasius (mainly cos it's the only tank big
enough). For the last few weeks (at least 8) one of the red rainbows has
