In a few months, we will be renovating our house, and will move
temporarily into an apartment for 2 or 3 months, while the work is
being done. We have a 45 gallon tall tank with about 30 of typical
fresh water tropical favorites, with a flourishing annubius on each

Which external filter?23 Aug 2007 19:12 GMT2
Haven't been here for a few years but I'd like to ask your opinions on
filters. My first ever Eheim (Professionel II) has been a pain in the

resealing an old tank09 Aug 2007 21:24 GMT1
Hi , I've inherited a couple of small tanks, I'd guess from the
1950's. They are really attractive as the edging is all chromed metal
so they look sort of art deco. However they are not water tight, the
sealing between the panels and the metal  must have perished. I'm
Tank size and new filter - help please08 Aug 2007 16:30 GMT5
My rather old tank is 48" * 18" * 12-15" (Sloping Front).
I can get the size in cubic inches = 48 * 18 * (12+15)/2 = 11664.
How do I convert this to Litres so I know what capacity external filter
to get?

Two questions: Stuck hermit crab ; submersible heater in trashcan06 Aug 2007 18:53 GMT14
I'm brand new to marine aquaria, and this is my first saltwater tank.
I've kept freshwater fish for about 20 years now, and so some of my
questions now and in the future might be a little noobish, hope you
don't mind  :)
