I find that this tank gets particles building up very easily and looks
mucky, whereas my Tropiquarium stays looking clean and "bits" free.
I think I might need to use a different filter (although I have added an old
fluval internal filter as I thought it might help) and wonder ...

I have a barramundi that had developed a 4mm thing that looks like a  blood
blister on his chin. does anyone have any ideas what could be causeing this,
and how to treat it?
