Yellow ducks29 Nov 2003 14:58 GMT12
Ducks are traditionally shown bright yellow in drawings.
Are there any bright yellow ducks in real life?  How did this
convention get started?

Can Budgies catch your cold?28 Nov 2003 19:40 GMT1
I'm sure this has been posted before.  My wife is getting broncitis. I
told her that I think she should stay away from the bird for a while.
Is this necessary?

Parakeet Overgrown Beak28 Nov 2003 18:58 GMT11
I have a parakeet and its beak seems to be very overgrown. The entire cage
is filled with beak trimmers, bones, the perch has a sandpaper cover but the
bird just refuses to trim its beak on those on its own. What other options
are there for beak trimming other than taking the bird ...
COCKATIEL FOR SALE W/ CAGE in the St. Louis Area28 Nov 2003 18:39 GMT2
We have a healthy, 2 year old male cockatiel who is very sweet and
gentle and loves the company of humans.  He was raised and
hand-fed by a private breeder in St. Charles.  He has the standard
Lutino cockatiel coloration - which is pale yellow body with bright
Severe Macaw27 Nov 2003 23:27 GMT2
Does anyone know what the minimum cage size can be for a Severe Macaw?  I am thinking about a cage that is34 1/2"wide and 24" deep and 43" tall inside the cage.  Is that ok? Is it big enough or too small?  Thanks!

Parrots in Master and Commander / I taught my Senegal a trick!27 Nov 2003 13:28 GMT1
I was wondering if anyone besides me had seen the movie "Master and
Commander:  the Far Side of the World."  The reason why I'm asking is that I
saw two different parrots in it!  If memory serves, I think one was a Macaw
of some sort being offered for sale to the sailors on the ship ...
Does your bird call you by name?27 Nov 2003 12:04 GMT18
Our 1 year & 3 month old Military Macaw calls my husband & I by
name.  It is amusing and he seems to know our names and who is who.  He also
calls our German Shepherd by his name.  His vocabulary is increasing rapidly
and his voice is becoming clearer.  His latest ...
birdie treats27 Nov 2003 08:48 GMT11
I've noticed that Jester the bare-eyed cockatoo likes raspberries
(he cracks the little seeds with his beak) so I thought I'd try
something a bit more exotic.
Yesterday I bought him a pomegranate. It's been a big hit. He

Poorly Parakeet - any ideas26 Nov 2003 22:13 GMT8
I woke up yesterday to my male Red Rump sitting in his food tray all puffed
up and breathing rapidly. He seemed very lethargic and spaced out when I
picked him up, and he seemed pretty weak and was very quiet. Needless to
say I rushed him to the vet and got him checked out. The ...
