Best books for budgies31 Jan 2004 02:33 GMT2
We are going to be buying a budgie for our family.  I have had them

will also be involved in raising and caring for the bird.  However, I
won't purchase it until they have all researched budgie care and

Help with bird laying eggs30 Jan 2004 21:48 GMT2
My cockatiel just laid her first egg last night, but I'm not sure what I should do about it. I don't think that it's fertilized, since she won't even get near my male cockatiel, but I'm not sure if I should take it away.  None of my books have any info about this.
Please advise.

My parakeet Merlin died a week before Christmas, and Mimi, his mate of
six or so years has been a recluse ever since. Since she is aged, we
are reluctant to get another budgie, fearing the new one will be
widowed in a sense once Mimi dies.

I recently inherited a Mitred Conure who is 1 year old.  He used to "step up" and let his previous owner hold him like a baby.  Now he refuses to step up and I can't hold him long enough to clip his wings.  Any suggestions?  Oh, and he plucked 2 of his feathers out...what does ...

and is afraid of bird thefts. So, the call goes like this. caller:" 'ave you
