| How soon before English budgie can be sold? | 29 Feb 2004 21:12 GMT | 5 |
We're thinking about getting another English budgie. Our local bird store says that they have a line on some that are either 3-4 weeks old. We asked what color, and were told it would too soon to tell. We were also told they would be ready to be sold in another 3 weeks.

| exercise wheels and small birds | 28 Feb 2004 16:31 GMT | 9 |
I read someplace on the net that an exercise wheel, properly placed, can be a great accessory for a budgie. It seems as though the little guy could get seriously hurt on one. Anybody try it? With what kind of success? Was it top-hung, bottom-hung, or what?

I was cleaning my birds' cage this morning, and one of my Zebra Finches got out. She flew around the house, followed by me, my cat and my dog. I finally caught her and got her back in the cage, but I think she might have been injured.

I'll be moving to Florida (from Minnesota) soon and would love to pick your brains about moving the birds. I've got two smallish cages that I plan to strap in the car, with Mel & Mollie in one and MacDaddy in the other. Any suggestions, ideas, advise on making it a safe trip with ...
