Newbie question about finch30 May 2004 21:33 GMT2
I am a newbie to this group, and have a question about the mandarin finchs
that we got yesterday.  We bought a male and a female who were already
living in the same cage.  There was 4 birds total in the same cage.  When we
got home and got them settled in their new home, things ...

Excessive Molting by Budgie30 May 2004 17:13 GMT5
My 11 year old budgie has always molted more often and for longer lengths of
time than normal. Lately, he's gone through an extensive molting period.
These long moltings sap his energy, and can leave him more vulnerable to
illness.
Will giving away lovebird affect our Congo African Grey?30 May 2004 03:04 GMT2
We have had a Congo African Grey for eight years and we all love her
dearly.  About two years ago I acquired a lovebird which bonded to
only me; it loves me and attacks anyone else.  In the last year or so,
my health has detiorated to the point where we reluctantly made the
African Greys & Respondents to this group29 May 2004 20:24 GMT18
Firstly let me tackle some of the respondents to this Newsgroup.
I am surprized at the anomosity displayed by some respondents towards
simple questions! Why take it out on them? I would expect a certain
level of tolerance in people who subscribe to a birdlovers forum, but
Mesh carrier29 May 2004 18:36 GMT7
I just wanted to mention that I am liking something
I bought at a bird fair last year. It is a carrier
made of nylon with mesh panels that hangs on
the bird owner's body in the front with straps
My only lovebird laid an egg29 May 2004 05:24 GMT7
I have a strange situation.
On February 28 a lovebird flew onto my family's 11th floor apartment
terrace in New York City, and we've been caring for it ever since.
We've kept in the house ever since, and bought it many things (such as

faces.  Very cute!
bird beek27 May 2004 18:25 GMT3
I wanted to ask if anyone would know the cause of the excessive growth of a birds beak?  My mother has a green parakeet with a greyish spot on his head, I apologize for not knowing the exact breed of the bird.  I do know that it's classified as a parakeet instead of an actual ...
Entertain your parrot!27 May 2004 18:14 GMT8
LONDON May 21, 2004 ? No more bored birds. No more annoyed avians. A
British company on Friday introduced "Pollyvision," an 80-minute DVD of
wild parrots preening, feeding and flying through the rainforest that it
hopes will entertain caged parrots and budgies while their owners are
Feather picking or preening?25 May 2004 19:38 GMT7
Here's a copy of a post I sent to toolady.com. Figured some of the experts
on RPB may provide some valuable info as well.
It's finally happened to me. First time experience with a plucker. I just
"inherited" a Quaker who had a bad case of feather picking. Probably about 4

I'm thinking of buying a budgerigar for my girlfriend - but she has
asthma and I don't want to make that worse. Will the budgie irritate
her asthma please?
