| Parakeet dust? | 30 Sep 2004 03:26 GMT | 6 |
I'm considering purchasing a parakeet in a couple months or so. I did bird research a while ago on larger birds and I remember hearing that cockateils and cockatoos have a sort of dust that can aggrivate asthma. I was just wondering if parakeets had anything similar that

| yet another teflon question | 29 Sep 2004 23:43 GMT | 5 |
I know, this has been done to death. I have googled the archives and read many threads on this issue. I have no teflon pans in my kitchen (I have a YNA and have had her from a wee chick 11 years ago) and haven't for about, er, 11 years.

| question about adding new budgie | 29 Sep 2004 20:45 GMT | 17 |
I just bought another parakeet today. My other parakeet I have had for almost a year. I put my new parakeet in his own cage that is sitting next to the other one. My question is how long should I keep them seperated before slowly introducing them together.

| Horny male budgie... | 27 Sep 2004 21:49 GMT | 4 |
This is kind of an embarassing question (and I swear that this is not a troll). I have a 5-year-old male violet budgie (Dave) who has recently begun to get incredibly sexually frustrated. Basically, he keeps trying to f.ck everything in his cage - his toys,

| Squawking Pionus | 27 Sep 2004 02:34 GMT | 12 |
Last week I got a five-month-old blue headed Pionus. After the first two days, he began squawking and does so virtually non-stop if I'm in the room with his cage. He does this whether he's in the cage or out. I've taken him outside on my lanai, and it's the same there. Any

| Leg Band | 24 Sep 2004 19:07 GMT | 8 |
What's with the leg band? I read the breeder puts them on when the bird is very young. Is there any info that I can learn from inspecting it? Can 't see how I'd even do that though!! (I'm talking about Bubba the Love Bird - of course!)
