Cage suggestions?28 Jan 2005 20:58 GMT10
Hey folks,
I am planning on adding a couple of budgies to my life and was shopping
around for cages.  None of the cages at the pet stores in my area look
suitable (most look waaay too small) so I started looking online.  The
Peaches wants to 'preen' me28 Jan 2005 14:41 GMT8
Peaches, a lovebird, has never really allowed me to socialize her.  She's
about 1-1/2 years old now; she was about 8 or 9 weeks old when I got her.
Having had parakeets almost continually since 1966 I know you have to spend
a lot of time with a new bird to get them to socialize with ...

Herring gull staring at my buderigars...26 Jan 2005 20:03 GMT8
Whilst on the subject of budgies, I thought I'd mention this too.
I have an outside aviary containing ten budgies. A couple of days ago,
I noticed a lone herring gull stood against the wire staring intently
at my birds. I banged on the window and it flew away.

I have a pet budgie and he usually gets a visti to the vet twice a

transport the bird to the vet in the cold because I'm always afraid

Best Toys for a Lovebird?25 Jan 2005 21:34 GMT12
Peaches has several toys with vegetable-dyed blocks of wood, bells, leather
strips and large beads.  She has a swing with wooden beads on the sides.
She gets on the swing and when she gets tired of playing with the wood beads
on the swing she gets the swing going really hard so she ...
Anyone know were to get large Bird Netting for outdoor avairy???25 Jan 2005 13:58 GMT2
We are trying to locate Macaw/Cockatoo proof bird netting.  We are
trying to enclose a 250ft X 650ft area. We have used chain link fencing
for smaller avaries. Even with support cables it is to heavy to span
the distances we are trying to enclose. Any resources or ideas you
