their feathers and it looks like they will be leaving the nest box very
soon. I read somewhere that I am supposed to take the father out of the
cage during this process so he does not attach the babies. Is this so

Help with Baby SI Eclectus27 Mar 2005 11:42 GMT8
I have been waiting to take home my 3 month old Male Baby SI Eclectus
"Yoshi" from the local pet store DOB 12/31/04.  We have been visiting
him there every other day for about 2 months now and he is not weaned

I just brought an English budgie home from a pet store.    She'd been
there a long time and she wore me down on our last trip there.    She
has a band on her right leg.   Is there a way to find out where she
came from?    The store owner stated he had no idea, although I have a
Parakeets and Pocket Watches23 Mar 2005 05:31 GMT7
I have a collection of gold pocket watches (gold filled actually) and
of the things that our parakeet likes to do is bite on the watch case
or stem. He also likes to peck at his reflection in the case cover. Is
there any danger in chewing on gold? He can't really break of any

Question about fruit oxidation22 Mar 2005 20:19 GMT8
Peaches, my lovebird, adores slices of apples.
I love cooking and I know once you cut into an apple it oxidizes within a
few minutes and turns brown where the cut was (as do potatoes).  When
cooking, one puts the apple or potato in a cold water/lemon juice or vinegar
