Do female cockatiels ever sing like the males do? I have heard that
only the males sing & talk,but is this always true? Have recently
purchased a young pearl, & am wondering as to the sex,as she/he hasn't

well she doesn't do it anymore but when we first got her she would
climb up on the side of her cage and when it got dark she just hung
there with her beak biteing the cage and would sleep there. i have
absolutly no idea why she used to do this, has anyone else had a budgie

You know, the more I get to know this new cockatiel, the more I think Mel's
NOT a boy!  I now think he's just a crabby old woman! LOL
Herbie (the love bug) is so funny and sweet...and talks and whistles up a

I come home all tired and hot from work, and step into the birdroom to check
on things. The conure's fine...the parakeet is rooting through the newspaper
at the bottom of the cage like normal... and then I glance at the
cockatiels. The all look fine... but there's something odd ...

After filling the seed trays they kick the seed out on to the cage
floor (Havn't seen which one does it yet).
