Good Items From Cheap Shops30 Oct 2005 18:50 GMT34
Hi There. I'm very new to this message board type thing, and my name is
Lin. :) Nice to meet you all. Ironically I don't own a bird. I would
love to buy some finches, but they are too small for the cage I already
have. Eventually, my boyfriend and I would like to buy some parakeets
Is it dangerous to smoke around a macaw?30 Oct 2005 02:10 GMT25
I'm asking this in an attempt to dissuade my grandmother from smoking
her cigarettes in the same room as her hyacinth macaw, Jimmy. She's
had the big guy for more than 20 years, and she sits chain-smoking
with the parrot loose in the same room (she smokes 60 strong,

Any help on lost Macaw27 Oct 2005 20:04 GMT7
Long story short is our female Harlequin flew off when I was bringing her in
from the outside enclosure she shares with B&G.  I'm afraid I had slightly
overzealous neighbors who wanted to help but we only succeeded in moving her
from tree to tree and higher and higher.  She roosted ...
Budgie clipping nails 26 Oct 2005 13:01 GMT16
Just had our pet budgie's wings clipped and nails trimmed at the Avian
vet. I think this may be the last time I do this. I like the vet but
the bird hates being grabbed and held and also, the bird's nails
started to bleed after trimming. The vet said that is common with nail

Advice on adopting unbanded Green cheek conure25 Oct 2005 10:14 GMT5
We are considering adopting a green cheek conure that we were told was
found by the Humaine Society (on someone's porch) and given to a
"foster home" for rehabilitation and later adoption.
Should we be concerned because there is little known about the bird? It

Can I feed chili peppers to my bird?23 Oct 2005 00:15 GMT25
I like to eat pickled chilies. My parrot wants to eat everything I eat
and keeps trying to snatch the chilies.
The chilies I like are very hot. So far, I've avoided letting him have
a bite because I don't want him to have stomach problems or burn his

Jenday Conure20 Oct 2005 08:59 GMT2
My wife was looking at one tonight. Does anyone know a good site that tells
all about conures -
especially the downsides. I would like for her to have one but I would like
for her to be well informed first. I would also like to know what I am
Allergies18 Oct 2005 03:46 GMT7
As I child my parents always had birds, and I loved them. It was so fun
training them and watching them learn. Anyway... to make a long story

to have an extreme allergic reaction over time. I had a bronchial
To the people here who suggested that Katie kill her gull...18 Oct 2005 01:28 GMT12
First off: KATIE - DON'T KILL YOUR GULL BECAUSE SOMEONE ON THE
INTERNET TOLD YOU TO.
Some of the recent posts on here have made my blood boil. I decided to
leave it a couple of days, so that I didn't explode and go over the
