Redrum breed30 May 2006 05:54 GMT2
Can anyone tell me if such a bird breed exists and if so, where I can find online references?
I couldn't find anything through Google but maybe I was not looking in the right place or maybe there is an analogous name.
(Please reply here.)

non singing male canary29 May 2006 14:13 GMT2
can someone shed some light on this problem.  My canary is eight years
old.  He has always sang remarkably.  When we left him for a week or
two we had him cared for and when we returned he always continued to
sing.
Teflon ... again (anodized cookware)28 May 2006 01:53 GMT2
I can't remember.  Does anodized cookware
(specifically cuisinart, caphalon) contain PTFE or whatever
the dangerous ingredient in teflon is?
Thanks for any information.
Adopted a Goffin Cockatoo26 May 2006 03:24 GMT1
I just wanted to share the news that we adopted a 2 year old Goffin
cockatoo named Madison.  He is a cute little thing compared to our big
boy Buddy.  He came from a home where the woman's daughter is going to
have a baby and well it seems that the bird had to go. (sigh)
Help identifying a finch by our outdoor pond?22 May 2006 13:11 GMT1
It had a reddish/orange cap on it's head, bright yellow breast and
belly with black back and wings that had white specks on them?  I tried

thanks in advance!
Easy Macaw question about cold weather18 May 2006 13:47 GMT4
Hi Everyone. I have a hopefully easy question about a Scarlet Macaw- my
friend who has this bird is planning on moving from the Tampa Bay area
(Florida) to Maine in the US. We've been arguing whether the bird can
live in such a cold climate. I say "no", having been raised in the

Please help ... my budgie is ill15 May 2006 20:16 GMT2
My Mom's friend gave me an older budgie, and now she's suddenly sick.
I don't know what she has, but her bottom/rectum is bloody and
protruding, her feces has blood in it, and she has very little energy.
At 1st, I thought she was constipated until I saw how badly her bottom
Hello!12 May 2006 17:51 GMT3
Hi!  I just joined this group today and thought I would just introduce
myself and my birds.  My name is Terri and live in PA.  I have a flock
of 4 birds and they are Buddy, my umbrella cockatoo.  We rescused him 3
years ago from a very horrible home.  He was beaten, starved and only

The yellow one has since escaped and never returned. :(

Agressive Canary?10 May 2006 21:10 GMT1
I have a male canary who when we go up to the cage somethings looks at
you, squats down, fluffs up and slow opens his beak at you.  Is this
territorial and/or agressive behaviour?  Does anyone else see this in
their own canaries.  I have another canary in the aviary who is the
Help...Injured Sun Conure10 May 2006 21:01 GMT3
My 7 year old sun conure recently wounded herself in the upper chest area &
started bleeding.  We rushed her to a vet (not Avian...it was a Saturday
morning...closest one is over an hour away) and they patched her up with
tissue glue.  She was healing nicely, but just couldn't leave ...
Broken wing?09 May 2006 22:20 GMT5
I'm think my 6 yr old budgie may have fractured his wing. It seems
loose and he keeps it further from his body than the other. He flew
into a mirror the other day, so it is possible that he could have hurt
himself. I was wondering if a broken wing needs a vet and if there is
