I just wondered if it was possible to estimate the age of a budgie based on when the black feather spots round his face start showing? We rescued our budgie a few weeks ago, and the vet said he was quite a young bird (she's pretty sure he's mail, but the cere isn't at full

We recently acquired a young cockatiel a few days ago. I am trying to follow all of the instructions from the "bird person" at the pet store. I don't yet have a feel for the bird's range of behavior, or what might indicate a problem.
