Pros and Cons of Owning a Human (PARROT'S point of view):30 Aug 2006 16:24 GMT8
Pros and Cons of Owning a Human (PARROT'S point of view):
1. They sleep too late. I mean, honestly, why must they wait for the
sun to be ENTIRELY up to get out of bed and feed me?
2. Some learn to talk, but most don't. They have this annoying tendency

Wet pigeon won't fly?16 Aug 2006 18:45 GMT3
I have a bit of a weird problem, hope someone might help.
A pigeon came flying through an open window into my apartment and
somehow found itself in the kitchen sink (!), where there were some
dishes full of water. Somehow it got very wet in that kitchen sink.

Help: Parrotlet with Cracked Beak16 Aug 2006 12:52 GMT6
My larger bird (a senegal) managed his way onto my parrotlet's cage and
bit and crack his the parrotlet's beak when the parrotlet went to
challenge the bigger bird. There are two small cracks on either side of
his beak close to the base, and it appears to have been inflicted by

Dirty dry vent on my budgie12 Aug 2006 06:53 GMT4
I have a budgie (4 years old) who add a diarrhea for two weeks. Now it
seems to be gone. However, is vent feathers are soiled and dry. I
suspect that because of that he sometimes has dry poop on his vent
feathers.
Parakeet Egg Found not in the nest. PLEASE HELP11 Aug 2006 16:55 GMT1
I have 3 Parakeets in a large cage. I put a breeding box in the cage
toward the top and the female does go in and out of the box. Many times
I can see her just sitting inside the box.
Last night, I discovered an egg on the opposite side of the cage at the
Is my Finch Cage Big Enough?10 Aug 2006 23:21 GMT10
I have never owned a bird before, but last night I bought three zebra
finches.  I already had a cage and wanted something for it.  Now, after
reading some posts in this newsgroup, I'm worried that my cage is too small.
It is 10 in. deep, 25 in. long, and 20 in. tall.  Is this ...
Trimming nails10 Aug 2006 23:09 GMT19
Mika constantly needs her nails trimmed.  I can't see the quick, so
inevitably I always nick one nail and have to stop the bleeding.  This
does nothing to encourage her to let me cut her nails without a
massive, high drama incident!
Cockatoo on the rampage....GUTTED :(09 Aug 2006 19:39 GMT8
I am raging, seriously, I could murder someone right now.
Decided it was a nice evening for a walk, me and the lady decide to take
weeman to Cramond Island .  Had a great time, not too cold (not to warm
either!), spent maybe 90 minutes walking over and back again, the tide was

seeking large cage with small bar spacing08 Aug 2006 22:20 GMT3
We just captured what appears to be a pale blue budgie/parakeet that
must have escaped. After first spotting her at our [wild] bird feeder
on Friday we trapped her today (two days later) in a bird cage after
luring her in with millet sprays.
