Getting Bombarded by 100's of spam/virus emails!30 Sep 2003 21:31 GMT17
Is anyone else getting hammered by these virus emails that purport to be
from Microsoft? I'm drowning in them! Since last thursday I've deleted
approximately 2400-2600 of these from my email. They are all to the address
I use here, which I created for use in the NG's.

A friend, who's going thru a rough time, had to find someone to take her
fish, so I said I could do it, seeing as how I'm probably the only friend
she has that knows anything about fish....   So we get there to load her
75gE tank, 36X18X24 maybe, and there's this huge 12" lumpheaded ...
Blue Ram: size?29 Sep 2003 06:43 GMT13
How big does a blue ram get?  In my mind, these things are like big
guppies -- but how big do they get, really?  Can anyone point me to a
photo that gives it some scale?
Are there any good sites dedicated to rams?
Red Devils28 Sep 2003 17:27 GMT8
I have two red devils that are about 5" in size.  One of them is incredibly
aggressive and is literally terrorizing the other red devil, "he" just wont
let the other one be.   The more dominant one practically chases the other
red devil into corners, where he just attacks him ...
Chrysonatus 26 Sep 2003 23:55 GMT1
I saw the other post about these fish, as I just saw them at petsmart....
The pic I found at http://www.cichlidnetwork.com/photolib/malawi43.jpg
didn't look like what I saw because what I saw had a white line almost
indicative of the Haps... Moreover, I cannot find anything about ...

Disease or Aggression?26 Sep 2003 03:22 GMT5
I have a 6" Scienochromis Fryeri in a 100 Gallon tank w/ similar sized mbuna
and other fryeri, and several sun cats.. All has been pretty normal in the
tank for a while. Today I saw this fryeri with fins all frayed and stringy.
The body, which was quite brilliant blue, had turned ...
Finally got my  110 gallon tank!26 Sep 2003 02:53 GMT2
I've got my  4'x2'x2' safely in my home, it's bloody heavy!  I've started
staining/and varnishing the 800mm high colonial style stand and hood.  It's
a big job!! there is almost 10metres of surface area to varnish the inside
and outside of the stand and the hood, and I have to do ...
Help with First Aquarium (Species Selection & Stocking Rate)25 Sep 2003 16:06 GMT10
After some research, I have decided to put together a cichlid
aquarium. I will probably get a 55 gallon tank, but may take the
plunge and get a 75 gallon tank. According to the LFS, my water is
slightly soft and has a ph of 7.1 (at least according to their test
sex changing?25 Sep 2003 04:16 GMT13
I have heard of, and witnessed sex changing with livebearers. From female
to male. Has anyone seen it with cichlids? If so, is it always the same way?

Where to buy Aulonocara Cichlids in Twin Cities, MN?25 Sep 2003 02:58 GMT2
Does anyone have any suggestions?  I've checked out "World of Fish" and
"Forest Lake Pets".  I want to be pretty sure I'm getting pure strains and
not hybrids for breeding purposes.
Thanks!!!
