Not even sure I fully know what I'm talking about here but does anyone use a moonlight tube for after the main lights go out. I know they use them in reff tanks for corals that glow. If so what is it and how long is it on for etc...

| I may owe WalMart, PetSmart apology-- | 21 Jul 2004 19:18 GMT | 6 |
:-) I have long railed against Wal Mart and Petsmart for selling Pacu and claiming an adult size of only 10 or 11 inches -- common knowledge is that Pacus grow into huge fish. My issue was that they were selling

I've got a 40 Breeder tank that I'm cycling with Platies. My intention was to put some corys in for the bottom, but my reading has got me interested in Cichlids. Some questions: Are Kribs a good choice for beginner cichlid? Rams were another that

In the near future I will be setting up a new 55 gal. with the idea of having South or Central American cichlids. The local water is quite hard, which my Malawis and Brichardi love. What I was hoping for is a "Cichlid Recipe" for some New World cichlids.

| Rocks in a box of glass... | 13 Jul 2004 15:04 GMT | 8 |
I went down to the river and gathered several buckets of large-ish rocks, to put in the 55g. I had attempted to do several things with it, but as many have said before, a 55g 4' tank, is limited, it's the depth that gets ya... So I'm going to organize a mound that reaches 3/4 to ...

| Which filter? | 12 Jul 2004 00:07 GMT | 1 |
Just wanting an opinion on which filter is better, a HOT-Magnum 250 pro (with bio-wheel), or an Emporer 400. It will go on an African Chichlid 75 gallon bow front, along with an Aquaclear 500.
