I have a 29g tank with 2 convicts, one small and one larger, a channel cat,
and 1 firemouth.  I had 2 firemouths but one died.  I notice now a
"blister" on each side of my firemouth's face.  He still eats, but stays to
the back of the tank.

I have a 180G African Cichlid tank. PH 7.8 GH 16. It's very
understocked at the moment with only 5 fish in it, only two at the 6"
mark.
I'm also a big fan of various sorts of crabs. I was wondering does

Setting up a cichlid tank and added seachem cichlid lake salt.
I understand about adding more salt only as result of water changes.  My
question is how do I verify whether I end up with too little or too much,
short of taking the sample to a store for them to stick it with a meter ...

I've gradually been using 4 danios to get a new Malawi cichlid tank started.
it's about ready to add the a couple of cichlids now (baby auratus) and I've
managed to get 2 of the danios out and back into a community tank but I just
