Onyx crossed the Bridge today. I miss him terribly already.
I do have a second mink, and unofficially a third mink.  My second boy
is Donovan, a mahogany, and my rommate's bay, Stitch, a dark almost
black looking, mahogany with a white chin.  Both boys are 4 mos old,

i just got my second from a person that bought it at a pet shop but
now doesnt want it...
he is a 1 year old sable....

Onyx the black mink died of unknown causes after suffering a severe
seizure.  We've elected not to do a necropsy.
We have previously lost 5 ferrets, 4 ours and 1 rescue, and the dog.
It has not been an easy year.  

Lost Scooter, my first boy, and number two fuzz, night before last. He's
been unwell for several days, losing weight, and had to be sub-q'ed 4 times
in 5 days. Blood work wasn't good, running a temp, antibiotics did nothing.
Wed. night when I got home he was laying in the middle of ...

One of my little guys likes every treat on the market, while the other two
hate all the so-called ferret treats.
They're so finicky - what treats should I try with my more discriminating
fuzzies?

Penny was once a beautiful solid cream.  Last week, almost overnight, she
got a mask & turned blotchy.  She looks now as if she's been playing in
ashes.  We've taken to calling her dirty girl.
Also Gadget, our original, has turned gray.

OK, what the heck is it with ferrets and foam rubber?
I got my knee fixed yesterday, so they gave me crutches.  I let the fuzz
babies out and they all tried to nibble the rubber feet, which made not

I've looked up a lot of vets here and none of them 'feel comfortable'
about ferrets. I am looking for an emergency vet for my ferret right
now and all the ones only deal with cats and dogs...but they CAN put

I'm looking for a new cage for my fuzzbutts.  right now i have a 2
level cage and i would like to get a bigger one.  other than midwest
is there another company out there that has large cages for a good
price??
