You know, we had a nice, reasonably peaceful bunch of ferrets once.  Sure,
Gadget would climb the kiddie gate, get into the cat food & occasionally
even the cabinets.  Natasha would chomp your toes if you weren't careful.
That sort of the was a little annoying, but also endearing in ...
Loosing hair23 Aug 2003 11:03 GMT5
I have a 2-year old girl, that is loosing hair. It is mostly along the
spine, but spreading to the rest of her back and she has tiny, tiny little
dark marks there too - I think they are little wounds, because of
scratching.
We don't know why our little Sebastian died this morning...22 Aug 2003 05:20 GMT7
... and we are heartbroken beyond words. Sebastian was six, and looked the
picture of health all his years, until this morning.
A few weeks ago, we noticed he getting a little thin, but we chalked that up
to nervousness over having 2 new ferrets in the house. But he seemed to gain
Distemper shots21 Aug 2003 20:34 GMT13
Hi, folks,
I have recently heard from a couple different people that distemper
shots for ferrets are not required after they reach about four years
old.  One person said it may be possible for more than about two

I'd just moved into this new town and was making a trip on saturday
back to my old house to get another load when I saw a pet shop on Main
St.  I pulled over, went in and saw three of the most wretched little
fuzzies I've ever seen.  Two young males in a small cage with no
Pooooooor Kylie19 Aug 2003 22:17 GMT11
Life has been crazy around here.  Hubby had an emergency heart problem that
required open heart surgery in Phoenix.  I had about half an hour to pack us
us and get enroute.  Kylie is in her travel cage (about 28"x15"x15") and
can't come out to play in the motel (DEFINITELY not ...

blueberries & kale???15 Aug 2003 02:41 GMT10
We've had several threads on this, but now I'm adding my bit.
Knowing ferrets are carnivores, I find Sadie has some strange tastes!
Last night as I was snacking on Blueberries, Sadies comes nosing to see what
momma has to eat.  Thinking she would sniff and turn up her nose, I let ...
pet memorial update....... 15 Aug 2003 01:53 GMT3
If anyone remembers, i was talking about a pet memorial. It came today. For
the price and free engraving it isnt all that bad. It actually has some
weight to it, being made out of heavy plastic. i placed it and put a nice
stone paver in front of it.
Ferret Business Idea...14 Aug 2003 22:19 GMT3
I got an idea for a ferret business, where someone who knows a lot about
ferrets and has lots of experience handling them, could become a mobile
ferret "service station". They would have the supplies and ability to do
things that some can't manage (or don't want to), like clip nails ...
"Ack Ack..."14 Aug 2003 19:41 GMT6
During playtime last night, Victoria was particularly interested on some
scent I had on my hands. Instead of licking me when I scratch her back,
all she wanted to do was sniff. I couldn't figure what she was smelling,
until I remembered that I had made a hamburger earlier.
