Flu14 Aug 2003 15:56 GMT1
Our little Louie has the flu.  He is sneezing and coughing pretty bad so I
took him to the doctor yesterday.  He has had a little cough now and then
for about a week and a half but the sneezing just started earlier this week.
I was worried so I took him to the doctor.  The doctor ...
Ferret playpen14 Aug 2003 14:43 GMT1
I'm looking for idea on building a playpen / ferret fence etc. So my ferrets
will play in a large area of the room but won't have access to the freezer
and the wardrobe. The ideal pen would be easily foldable.
On the ferret store they called it a "playtime containment unit", even if
ferret diet concerns....13 Aug 2003 19:38 GMT15

Ear Question13 Aug 2003 15:24 GMT12
Okay. Here's something that's odd. I've heard two different versions of the
same thing from two different ferret folk. I do it, and will continue to do
it until I hear not to  from a true professional, but I'm curious.
Is it proper to clean ferret's ears? I was told for some reason, ...
I managed the ferret trance again12 Aug 2003 23:18 GMT3
Only ever managed it once before and it takes patience.
Hold ferret in the "no bite position". (Thumb behind neck, forefinger above
front paws, middle finger below front paws other two finger curled up under
body against palm of your hand)
Ariel Update12 Aug 2003 19:38 GMT4
Ariel is doing GREAT!! She's now eating on her own, w/ no cajoling or
finger-feeding (still mostly soup, but still). No further weird behavioral
symptoms, like spinning, loss of balance, etc. She has more energy. While
she's not jumping around, dooking or dancing, she *is* exploring ...

worth it for the REAL cute one at the end :)
Baby ferrets11 Aug 2003 16:18 GMT2
the roommate has baby ferrets  I've come to the conclusion that baby
ferrets must eat twice their weight in chow, poop out 3x their weight
into the litter box.  I suspect baby mink are no better.
I had forgotten how active and nippy baby ferrets can be.  Our
Kylie Gets Chewing Gum...?11 Aug 2003 05:56 GMT14
I have to admit, I've never given my ferrets raw food.  Kylie gets the
highest quality ferret kibble, ferretone, kitten snacks and an occasional
morsel of food from my plate.   Since I tend to think of her more as a baby
than an animal (ok, I said it........I confess), I just don't ...
Ferret Members- Here is One Sample of How NCF Was Discovered and The  Reason Why My Book Was Written11 Aug 2003 01:35 GMT2
Here is the sniffed evidence file of how and the methods she used to
hack into our computers.  Look at the Source Media Access Control (MAC)
Address and how it stays the same even when the IP address changes.
Each IP address will have it’s own MAC Address, and it should never be

Something is wrong with my ferret...09 Aug 2003 13:17 GMT37
Hi, my ferret doesn't seem to be doing too well and I need some advice.
I have a 5-6 year old male ferret and his behaviour has changed dramatically
over the last few months. He's not as active as he used to be. When he is out
of his cage he will walk for a couple feet and then lay ...
Informal gathering near Boston09 Aug 2003 00:32 GMT9
Hello! I'm just wondering if anyone who lives near Boston would be
interested in an informal (not associated with any ferret
organizations/shelters/clubs) gathering sometime in August.  I was
thinking we could meet in a central location near the center of town
