Ferret Litter (what kind?)08 Aug 2003 21:39 GMT3
Well, the time is slowing coming when I'll be out and getting some fuzzies.
I have a majority of the stuff done, I'll leave the food and treats for the
absolute last thing I'll get before getting them.  In the meantime I've been
looking around at litters and what type would be best ...

Attracting Ferrets With Sound08 Aug 2003 21:19 GMT10
What animal sounds are ferrets attracted to? Since they are natural born
hunters, I would expect that certain animal sounds (mainly mice) would
attract them. I'm wondering if recorded little animal sounds could be
used to attract lost ferrets? Also, since they are naturally curious,
ferret fishing08 Aug 2003 19:37 GMT4
I was sending a post about ferret fishing and I was disconnected, so I
don't know if the original made it or not.
I was just wondering if other people's ferrets like to 'fish'. When
it's hot I fill a rubbermaid tub with water and let Lucy play in it.

Scat mat08 Aug 2003 08:54 GMT1
Does anyone have any experience using a scat mat for ferrets.  I
recently saw a suggestions about using them at the front and back door
to keep ferrets from trying to go outside.
I wonder if a mink would tough it out and try to leave anyway.

Where's Steve?08 Aug 2003 02:58 GMT2
Is he on vacation or is he laying low after the Great Debate?
Oh... My... God...!08 Aug 2003 02:47 GMT6
As you all know, I've dropped out of sight. I come back to lurk from time to
time. I was getting ulcers from the continous drivel from *unmentionable*.
But look what happened! Something bred inside of *unmentionable* and creeped
out of it's crack! Oh, the humanity!
Accidentally stood on 12 wk old ferret & a taste for ferretone? + attacking feet08 Aug 2003 01:40 GMT6
I accidentally stood on my girlfriends ferret which i'm looking after as she
was hanging off my shoelace when I expected she'd have lost grip and i lost
my balance. She squealed for a bit and hid away. I gave her a treat and she
seemed almost back to her normal self. I tried sort of ...
Ariel, Again08 Aug 2003 00:25 GMT1
Ariel's having some problems again, which may be side-effects of her
Atenolol.
She was having some problems w/ the taste of her med, & us having a hard
time getting her to swallow all of it. Last Fri, our vet got us some of the
More things they steal!07 Aug 2003 20:47 GMT2
I know we always talk about the things they take here, but it never ceases
to amaze me!  I think we could go on for days, and they would still take
something else that would catch me off guard.
The other day we found more Top Ramen in my bedroom, under the dresser this
8.5yr old very tired and sick, when to "put to sleep"07 Aug 2003 04:54 GMT8
My ferret, named Kitty, has been with me since she was a little baby.
She has been by my side just about every day for the past 8 and a half
years.
She has had an adrenal tumor (which we have been doctoring daily with
Ferrets and decorating?07 Aug 2003 02:01 GMT12
If anyone has any tips/experience regarding ferrets and
paint-fumes/floor-sanding (dust and noise) and floor-varnishing fumes, i.e.
for how long and how far I will need to keep them out of the way (including
where on earth to put them!), it would be very much appreciated.
Phew it's 'ot06 Aug 2003 18:19 GMT5
Temperatures here in my garden have reached 34C for the last 2 days.
Luckily the main ferret shed is underneath a big ash tree so remains cool
and shaded. I have supplied them with a large cat litter tray filled with
water to splash in. They seem to remain in their shed all day in ...
